Rasančiojo adresas rašomas viršutinėje dešinėje lapo kampe, o adresas gavėjo – kairėje pusėje (verslo ar oficialiuose laiškuose).
Artimesniems draugams laiškas pradedamas žodžiu Dear, pvz.:
- Dear Pete
- Dear Mrs Ellen Starling
Jei nežinome asmens vardo ar pavardės, tada rašome:
- Dear Sir arba Dear Madam.
Kablelis rašomas po pasveikinimo, o kitas žodis rašomas didžiąja raide.
