GRAMATIKA. ARTIKELIS

Anglų kalboje yra nežymimieji (a, an) ir žymimasis (the) artikeli ai.

Nežymimieji artikeli ai (a, an)

Naudojami, kai kalbame apie bet kurį daiktą iš tam tikros grupės.
Pvz.: Give me a pen.

Žymimasis artikelis (the)

Naudojamas, kai daiktas yra žinomas arba apibrėžtas tiek kalbėtojui, tiek klausytojui.
Pvz.: The nut is brown.

Artikelio nevartojimo atvejai

  1. Prieš vardus ir pavardes
  2. Prieš miestų, valstybių, žemynų pavadinimus
  3. Prieš įvardžius + daiktavardžius
  4. Kai daiktavardis eina kreipiniu
  5. Prieš savaitės dienas, mėnesius, metų laikus
  6. Kai apie daiktus kalbama apskritai
  7. Prieš mokomuosius dalykus
  8. Po daiktavardžių su jausminiu atspalviu
  9. Prieš medžiaginius ir abstrakčius daiktavardžius
  10. Skaitvardis + daiktavardis daugiskaitoje
  11. Kai sakinio pabaigoje yra pavadinimas
  12. Kai kalbame apie pastovius įpročius (pvz. at work, to school, at night)
