Pronoun Meaning Example
nobody / no one nobody, no person There was nobody in the street.
nothing nothing, no thing Pete said nothing and left the room.

no none, not any There is no water in the bottle.

Note:
In English, the verb after a negative pronoun is positive.
Example: Nobody knows the answer. (not doesn’t know).
