Grammar: Tag (Disjunctive) Questions

A tag question is made of a statement and a short question tag at the end.
If the main statement is positive, the tag is negative;
if the main statement is negative, the tag is positive.

Spoken with falling intonation in the first part and rising intonation in the tag.

Examples

Linda is a good teacher, isn’t she? — Yes, she is.
These grapes didn’t have many seeds, did they? — No, they didn’t.
Emily will go to Great Britain, won’t she? — Yes, she will.
