There are a lot of beautiful lakes in England, Ireland and Scotland.
The biggest one is Loch Neagh in Northern Ireland.
The most famous lakes in England are situated in the Lake District.
Loch Lomond is 24 miles long in Scotland. It has more than 30 islands.
There are no great forests on the British Isles today.
The most famous one is Sherwood Forest, which is in the east of England.
It was the home of Robin Hood.
The mild and damp climate is very good for agriculture, vegetable-farming, and cattle-breeding.

England is the largest part of the United Kingdom.
The North Sea, the Irish Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean wash the coasts of England.
The River Thames rises in the Cotswolds.
It flows through London into the North Sea.
Kent is a peninsula in the south-eastern corner of England.
It is the nearest English county to the Continent.
The distance of 35 kilometres separates Kent from France.
Kent is very often called the Garden of England.
The place is famous for vegetables, fruit and flowers.
Autumn is the time for hop gathering here.
