The most common tree is the oak.
There are foxes, rats, squirrels, and hares.
Larger animals such as the wolf, the bear, and the reindeer were destroyed.
Many starlings, pigeons, and sparrows live near the coast.
London and Liverpool are the biggest English ports.
Shipbuilding is centred in London, Newcastle, and Liverpool.
Birmingham is the second largest city and is called
“the city of 1500 trades.”
Manchester is the main centre of cotton and chemical industries.
Sheffield is famous for its metallurgical industry.
The woollen industry is in Leeds and Bradford.
Oxford and Cambridge are cities of science and universities.
Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
