Correct:
– Natural everyday English; correct use of tag questions (isn’t it?, mustn’t we?).
⚠️ Note: More natural to say “I am afraid I am a little late” (without but).


🧠 GRAMMAR. FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

Formation

Future Perfect = will/shall have + past participle

Examples:

We will have painted the benches by 8 p.m. tomorrow.
By the end of next month, children will not have read this book.


Usage

The Future Perfect describes an action that will have been completed before a certain time in the future or before another future event.

Common time expressions:

  • by the time
  • before
  • by next week/month/year
  • by the end of…

Examples:
By the time you arrive, I will have finished my work.
They will have left by the end of the month.


Contractions

Note: Modern English prefers “will” instead of “shall”.
